Dr. Romney received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the City University of New York where she won the Bernard R. Ackerman Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Graduate Psychology. She was a pre-doctoral fellow in Family Therapy at the Yale University of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Romney teaches part-time at Mt. Holyoke College where she is Visiting Associate Professor of Psychology. In addition to her private practice, she works as a psychotherapist in a nursing home. Dr. Romney is a member of the American Psychological Association, and a board member of the American Family Therapy Academy.
